FYI, i failed on same errors.

further back in the log we have:
checking for ARM TLS support... no


I believe Hurd people, as aurel dealed with that kind of problems.

And:
checking for kernel header at least 2.6.14... ok


I believe kernel headers need to be greater than 2.6.16 for new eabi.
Not sure about it. I would have to check. Also, i have found this,
that my help clarify some (future) issues
