Dired under VC broken in emacs21/unstable?

Hi,

it seems that the 'Dired under VC' mode in emacs21 (deb version 21.2-5)
is broken.  It behaves like the regular dired mode and ignores the
vc-specific commands.  Anybody seen this?  Any solutions?
