No, it didn't work:

Aug 16 08:40:33 ws01 fetch-ldap-cert: Failed to fetch LDAP SSL certificate from dnsdomainname: Name or service not known tjener.intern.
 
 

Btw, can you provide the content of /var/log/syslog on the failing
server?  It should show if there is a race condition.
