One idea is to switch to FTP based mirrors instead of HTTP based mirrors,
in case this avoids the bug in the Squid code.  I tried this, but discovered
that the postinst in bootstrap-base fail to pass on proxy information
for ftp proxies, and our code is filled with apt related code using
http://ftp.skolelinux.org/, so the installer ended up using the http
mirror anyway.  We could of course fix all these bugs, but I suspect it will
take a while to track down and fix each and every one of them.
