As for German primary schools, kids learn a simplified handwriting.
Hence, there is the need to have a corresponding typeface installed.

I suppose there is several fonts available for "free" download - and
I am afraid, every country uses its own typeface. Very widely spread
in Germany is http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vereinfachte_Ausgangsschrift
- special feauture: all letters start and end on same height 
(which is optimal for computers).

On this occasion we should consider creating our own package of educational 
fonts.
