This discussion was held some months ago. I remember that this is partly
due to the move from Redhat kernels to genuine Debian kernels that are
sent via tftp. There is more hardware detection done and so on.
Another cumbersome side effect is that the mininum amount of RAM has
risen to >32 MB. Our partner school in Nairobi has machines with 16 MB
only :(
