Re: [Debian-NYC] Bug squashing party feedback

I have an anecdote from a co-worker this morning. Pete, who was around
on Friday night for the beginners workshop was skeptical at first. But
this morning he told me he sat down for a few minutes and realized
that this is it, this is the "free softwaring" he's been missing and
he was compelled to tell me that he "got it" after that.

Unfortunately free softwaring is a good gerund and I'm in a bit of a
conflict to replace it with something more active. Candidates:

"to do software freedom"
"to use free software"
"use debian"

Of course this goes down the slope of

#!/usr/bin/perl
use strict

but that's a digression.

I think semantics are important and "open source" is tasting really
stale in 2010.
