I only know a couple people who have tried it, some a little more than
others. I know someone who attempted to switch his desktop environment
to it, but ran into various significant problems, so ended up switching
back. I have a general idea of what the Debian project has done to
support and facilitate the port, but beyond that I dont know much at
all. I would suggest contacting on IRC the debian kfreebsd people who
are working on this port. I bet they would be very interested in this
sort of promotion and would probably help (who knows, maybe one of them
is within a train ride of the city?)
