One suggestion I have is to make relaybot pass messages ONLY when it is
mentioned and not always. I know this makes difficult to know what is happening
on the other side (unless the people speaking on the other side explicitly
mentions relaybot), but still.

Or, we can try make relaybot do personal messages instead of group messages - a
subscription model. i.everyone subscribed will get a copy of the message being
passed. If replied, it will end up in the group (someone replying means he
wants to join the conversation). This requires everyone maintain their IRC
nicks without constant.
