Bug#245322: dpkg: Can't handle installing packages with a diverted hardlink
Package: dpkg
Version: 1.10.20
Severity: normal
I've got this on my system:
root@nevyn:/home/drow# dpkg-divert --list|grep mk
local diversion of /sbin/mkreiserfs to /sbin/mkreiserfs.distrib
local diversion of /sbin/mkfs.reiserfs to /sbin/mkfs.reiserfs.distrib
When I try to update reiserfs, I get:
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/reiserfsprogs_1%3a3.6.14-3_i386.deb (--unpack):
error creating hard link `./sbin/mkreiserfs': No such file or directory
The package has both in it, but dpkg doesn't account for the renamed
hardlink.
