Somebody in debian-testing said he was unable to reproduce it.
Since I was not sure we were talking about exactly the *same* bug,
I reported a way to make dpkg to segfault.

Fine. If you or dpkg maintainers think this bug is the same as the one
already reported, please merge them.

Also, if dpkg maintainers feel a bug should not be reported more than 7
times, then feel free to close the 8th report of it (I would not mind, as
long as the fact that this bug is fixed is widely announced when it was).

Mmm, sorry, no. I don't plan to upgrade to potato in the near future.

I would ask in debian-devel. There are many people who have upgraded to
potato.
