Could some developer please comment on the changing of the versioning
scheme? Ok for me to commit?
Is it ok to jump from version 5.0.9 directly to 9.0?
Is this scheme really wanted? We need to upload at least one new version
with every new Debian release cycle - even if there are no real changings!

Joost?
