that depends on how you use debian.
For servers, systemd-networkd is the best you can have since it is
(nearly) complete and current with ipv6, vlans and other nice things
you want to have in a server environment (and container and virtual
machines and and and).
it is not that useful for a desktop maybe. but as soon as I want to
use automation for installing servers, systemd-networkd is really good
and useful.

this is your opinion, which is good. I do not speak for everyone, but
as user you are free to chose whatever you want.
Debian chose systemd, Devuan chose InitV. so you as user can choose
whatever you want, you do not have to rant about the other opinion.
