released today makes me sad


Is systemd-networkd the default on Debian? If so, why? I switched a Ubuntu
server to Devuan because of another issue of systemd-networkd repeatedly
bringing the interface up and down. Switching to network manager fixed it
but I decided on Devuan anyway. Why is buggy poorly designed code being
installed because it has systemd in it's name and why are new things like
networkd and pulse audio segfaulting (halting systemd shutdown for minutes)
when e.g. Ada is easy to use and now mature with great tooling learning
materials and solved segfaulting 50 years ago. Rust is only a great choice
to those who haven't investigated Ada properly including for kernel work
but Rust would also solve these segfaults.
