Yes I agree on 8, the Raspberry pi 400 is still 4gb though, not sure if there will be a 8gb version. Would be nice.

I did read that the System on Chip (SoC?) can support up to 16GB, but not sure if that is the case or if there will be a 16 gb version.

I like the idea of SATA Support on some of the mentioned boared too.
