That was exactly my point: that although many people (including me!)
think that it does, other people do not - and, IMO, refusing or
otherwise failing to understand what they mean when they use the term
that way is not helpful.

There's a seed of a colorable argument otherwise in Russ's mail,
however, so I don't intend to push that terribly hard - especially not
given that the entire discussion would be at best arguably on-topic.
