I find it relieving that when these things have to happen (as was
necessary after the proposal to package some controversial content)
Debian is able to discuss it and document the decision in public.

While not everybody will agree with the outcome, the process of
decision making and public documentation of the decision is much
better than the way secret lists of blocked websites are being
assembled in various countries that pretend to have free and
democratic values.
