I read a web page with iceweasel elevator use to scroll the page
I select text

I'm sorry but I'm closing your bug report (as unreprodicible) as it contains 
very little information, thus it's basically impossible to do something about 
it.

does this problem also occur with applications other than iceweasel?

whats the output of "dpkg -l iceweasel" on your system?

does the freeze only occor on a specific website?

which?

do you have non free flash installed?
