FWIW, this is very similar to what happens on Windows 2000 and XP when
installing directly from a CD:

  Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration.

  Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI o RAID driver...

  [various output, press 's' key]

  Please insert the disk labeled

  Manufacturer-supplied hardware support disk

  into Drive A:

  *  Press ENTER when ready.
