        Hmm.  I am not sure that the results shall be what you think
 they will be. Take for example, someone who packages something that has
 menu entries (me, for example).  Well, such people, like, evidently
 think the package enahnces the menu; and thus, if we swithc to using
 desktop format by default, I would still want to see my package on the
 menu.

        So, if you want to keep you menu small and non-comprehensive,
 you should not be pushing for f.d.o formatting. :)
