Definitely. When using chroots, it is not uncommon that some directories
containing UNIX-domain sockets (like /var/run/saslauthd, /var/run/mysql,
/var/run/postgresql) are bind-mounted to 5-10 different locations.
Right now all that information can be kept in one single location:
/etc/fstab. Having to edit the init scripts instead would be quite
inconvenient.
