My question was not answered. Is ndiswrapper useful on a
free-software-only system? That's my question.

You insisted that this question is irrelevant, but that's not the same
thing as answering it. It simply has not been answered as far as I
can tell. I have been told that it's a "thread reset" to ask it, I
have been told that it's irrelevant what the answer is, and so forth.

It's frustrating, because I feel as if the answer is right there, on
the tip of people's tongues, and they are refusing to just say "here
is the case where ndiswrapper enables something that would not
otherwise be possible" or "there are no such cases now that I can
think of."
