As a low bandwidth user I was ending up "apt-get update"ing one host at a high bandwidth place and creating a mirror from the resulting apt-archive for further local distribution. I wrongfully assumed the files in apt-archive to be unescaped. Now that I know it's easy to solve. ;-) Thanks for your time!
