I was puzzled about:

 Maintainer: Debian QA Group <packages@qa.debian.org>
 Changed-By: Lars Wirzenius <liw@iki.fi>
 ...

I thought Lars is a member of QA Group and upload it for they.

I'm sorry for the noise.

But the problem, which I'd like to point out still exists (despite it was not 
the case here, but still happend):
- a new maintainer filed ITA, shortly after i was orphaned
- builds a package and resolves bugs
- wait for a Sponsor, because he/she is not a DD, filed RFS to debian-mentors
- meanwhile QA Group fixes some trivial bugs and upload a new package

-> new maintainer has to build a new package and his/her work was 
   for nothing(, but learning ;-)), perhaps she/he is unhappy.

IMO QA Group should respect an ITA and communicate with new maintainer about
or at least wait always some weeks before touch it.
