This one is harmless.  We should follow Knuth's rule: British/Canadian
speakers spell words their way when they write them; American speakers
spell them our way.

A package description should be internally consistent, but there is no
advantage to trying to mandate strictly British or strictly American
spelling or usage.  It's also likely to make things worse, because
Americans will not be able to reliably produce British spelling, nor
vice versa.
