Hi. I think that update-nsswitch is a good idea. I haven't tested the program but I have just read through the code. Rather than 'source', the nsswitch.conf documentation consistently uses the term 'service'. I think you should follow suit (in the help text). What you call a 'status action clause' isn't consistently named in nsswitch.conf(5); I suggest the term 'reaction specification' but maybe you can think of something better. -- Thomas Hood
