I don't follow the debian lists that long as others do, so the way I see
could be not accurate.
I think the problems with flamewars etc mainly only arise when there are
changes which affect a lot of people, packages or other main parts of
the debian project. The most current example is the amd64 port.
If you look at some pkg projects on Alioth, i.e. the gnome, mono or java
packaging projects, there seem to be much lesser problems.
My advice to everyone: Just don't participate in flamewars. Try to be
and stay productive and helpful for this project!
