there's also an header like that:

X-Mailing-List: <debian-devel@lists.debian.org> archive/latest/171020

could that number (apparently incremental per-mailinglist) be used to
archive the messages? perhaps combined with the current month/year 
as an added bonus we can easily construct urls pointing to messages
without actually browse lists.d.o and cut-n-paste urls (also having
lists.d.o/message-id redirecting to the correct message would be great,
assuming there are no duplicated message-ids)
