However, I just spotted that aj's left a note in the config file
explaining why the control ban was set and until when, which works for
me. So I retract my earlier comment.

Frankly, I don't think that attempting to stir up strife among the
members of an administrative team (noting your Cc) is going to impress
anyone. As debating tactics go, it seems underhanded to me.
