What, precisely, is unreasonable about it?

Do you find the "Essential: yes" flag unreasonable too?

I'm happy for you to think that dummy arguments are unattractive, or
awkward, or even confusing -- but those are not technical arguments,
and if you think they are, you're both wrong and stupid.
