It's a fine film by a highly-esteemed director, and as a lifelong atheist I can say quite sincerely that it's the most comprehensible presentation of the Christian religion I've ever seen. It's not a critique of the belief system in any way, and it posits no heresy that isn't argued over in good fun by devout theologians. The sort of people who protest movies without even seeing or understanding them are exactly what is wrong with organized religion. -- G.
