It isn't. There are some nice features in the new version. It's called
"beta", but runs very stable.

Ryan hasn't replied to the questions about how to handle the new
version.

Sure, I could upload gqview1.3, but that's additional work for the ftp
masters, and the package needs to be removed if Ryan decides to update
his package to 1.3/1.4.
