I wonder if the best approach wouldn't be to have a shared template that
all packages can use:

shared/ipv6_support_desired

This would be a boolean type; if "true", it indicates that he wants
packages to do whatever they can to support IPv6 networking.

Of course, it's still up to the user to ensure he has a kernel that can
do IPv6.  Packages should probably not try to second-guess the user's
answer to the above question.

Debian-devel, how about it?  Is it a bad idea to try and standardize on
a shared template for this?
