Actually inewsinn puts it in /usr/lib/news/bin/, /usr/bin/inews is
just a symlink, but that does not help you.

Afaik the basic mode of operation and options are compatibel,
inews even diverts the inews from cnews. Using alternatives sounds
               cu andreas
