Uhm, what is the advantage over beep, beside that it can read from
stdin instead of using commandline options? Why is a kernel patch
needed, the beep package can do it without a patch?
IIRC there was another package also with a similar approach but I can't
remember its name. Btw., is beep2 based on Johnathan Nightingale's beep
or is it something different? If the later I would call the name
misleading.....
