That are all things JS keeps saying and though, 99% of users are happy with GNU tar.
what an argument ...I think even if 99% of the users *would* be happy, what about the 1% (I thinks it' much more). The technical superiority of star over gnu tar is argument enough, the standard conformance of star, too.
