Well 50/50 can not possibly be true. I looked at this
list (debian-devel) for the most recent 300 email that
was sent to me. In this case we have the following stats:

What                   Count  Percent
-------------------------------------
Messages checked:       300      100%
Spam:                    34       11%
Discussion about spam:   17        6%
unsubscribe:              4        1%

This is lower than the "usual ratio" that many public
adresses have. According to some investigation (I do not
remember which so do not rely too much on it) the usual
ratio were about 25% spam and 75% valid email.

Not even if you add spam+discussionaboutspam+unsubscribe
you can reach anything close to 50% (you will get 18%).

I think this is ok for a public list. If you need more advanced
filters you have to add them yourself.

So please give at least a bit acurate information before
making such a request. This applies even on spam which I
hate and even if you are frustrated.
