You argued that we should remove non-free because it wastes development
time that could be used on free software. Why do you believe that
creating installer packages for contrib will be simpler than maintaining
the equivalent non-free packages?
I think quite the opposite is true - the installer packages will be
significantly more work. Thus the net benefit to Debian the project will
be negative.
