Re: SASL Chaos?

Since today, openldap at least claims to support SASL (although i havn't
changed anything while i was sleeping...)

ldapsearch -h localhost -x -s base -LLL supportedSASLMechanisms
dn:
supportedSASLMechanisms: LOGIN
supportedSASLMechanisms: PLAIN
supportedSASLMechanisms: ANONYMOUS
supportedSASLMechanisms: CRAM-MD5
supportedSASLMechanisms: DIGEST-MD5

I've been trying to get these "supportedSASLMechanisms" listed yesterday
without success.

ldapsearch -I anything

still doesn't work, although i added the userid and password via
saslpasswd for the appname "slapd".
But actually i don't want to use /etc/sasldb... (but i certainly don't
want kerberos either)

Greetings,
Erich
