Have a look at it with aptitude. I fixed the problem by bumping the version that I built by a -0.1. I think that apt was getting confused by having two packages with the same version from two different sources with different pin values. Or perhaps not. In any case, I've learned my lesson, and will always bump the version on future backports from sarge. M
