jabber.debian.net isn't quite jabber.debian.org but it's there. There's
no integration with the Debian LDAP directory that I'm aware of, though.

While it might be useful to have one there as a facility I don't see
a huge benefit to having a centralised Debian jabber server. What might
be more useful would be a directory and possibly also proxy service that
would help locate developers who are using Jabber wherever they might
be.
