Sorry, but you'll have to come up with a better reason than just 'it
works'. Uploading new upstream releases should be left to the
maintainer and when we can fix this bug (which is RC, as the package
is uninstallable in sid right now, AFAICT) without uploading a new
upstream release, we should do so.

Now, if you tell me that this new release is specially crafted for
python-2.1 and has this-and-that particular advantage, I might be
convinced, but otherwise somebody else will have to do this, sorry.
