Conectiva seems to want to be closer to Debian these days... they have done apt-rpm, are following some of the Debian policies, using task-* packages, modifying their init system... Or they'll have a rpm'ed version of Debian... it would make sense for them to have a slightly modified debconf, and some other Debian stuff like menu system, etc Let's wait and see... it seems like they'll announce their purposes tomorrow morning (for us brazilians, at least) For portuguese-speaking people, there are news about this on http://www.cipsga.org.br.
