I think you misparsed. I was drawing a distinction between two groups of
people working on debian/hurd--those "who appear to see value in
what is already here" and those "who seem to have nothing but contempt".
I welcome the former and not the latter. I didn't name members of either
group, but I think people could probably come up with representive
samples on their own.

Perhaps the confusion was my saying "it is the hurd developers" rather
than "it is those hurd developers" in the last sentence.
