I would suggest, at most, adding a lintian warning for this post-woody. If policy is amended(debatable) and enforcement needs to be more strict, one could then change this to an error condition. However, a single maintainer would be responsible for multiple instances of an shlib in most, if not all cases, so it would be at his descretion to properly handle this. -mike
