It depends. Bochs, I believe, is a full emulator, while plex86 only
virtualizes. The difference is that bochs will let you run an x86 OS
on, say, a PPC box, while plex86 requires an x86 box to run an x86 OS.
Thus, bochs is great for testing on non-x86 architectures, but is a hell
of a lot slower than plex86 when on an x86, because it virtualizes every
single instruction, instead of just the hardware interface.
Or I may have mixed the two up... but the point is still the same. ~,^
