Hi people I've been packaging Ickle (an ICQ client, yes, another one) for quite some time now, and I belive I have a usable deb now. I wish to become a maintainer and I was wondering if someone could sponsor my first NMU to see if I'm fit to become a real d.d. The problem, apart from finding a sponsor and aplying for d.d. is that a ITP is already filed, but I've talked to the original ITP author and to the upstream Ickle author and both agreed that I give it a shot, now, how can I change the ITP to indicate that I'll be packaging it? or at least NMU'ing it? Keep in mind that even though I've been following and lurking the debian-devel list for some months I'm still a novice, but surely I wish to learn more and help Debian wherever I can.
