However, this marvelous applet really doesn't show up anywhere. At
least, not in my GNOME CC. Is there a simple way to get it there ?

Moreover, localeconf still doesn't allow setting LANG and only LANG. I
submitted a patch for this -- it didn't make it, but it's probably only
a matter of time. The code involved is very simple.
