In the near future we'll switch to OSKit-Mach. There are also plans to
port the Hurd to the L4 microkernel.

I think the libc is kernel-specific. I don't know if the libc ABI is
compatible. I guess not, but I'm not sure. I don't have enough
knowledge about *BSD.

Yes, we need major modifications for a lot of things.
