speed of LDAP?
Hello,
Are these times excessive? LDAP server is localhost. I am using
libnss_ldap.
[879] [snoopy:bam] ~/tmp >time id bam
uid=1003(bam) gid=1003(bam) groups=[truncated]
id bam 0.02s user 0.00s system 0% cpu 4.194 total
[880] [snoopy:bam] ~/tmp >time w
12:16pm up 27 days, 16:34, 19 users, load average: 0.35, 0.33, 0.27
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
w 0.07s user 0.03s system 0% cpu 12.490 total
thats 12 seconds to produce no output. It seems kind of slow to
me. What other checks should I run?
